In Acts 19:1-2, Paul met some disciples in Ephesus, and the first question he asked them was this—have you received... after you believed?

At this moment, I put the same question to you – HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD AFTER YOU BELIEVED?

5 Important Steps to Receiving the Holy Spirit

    1. The Holy Spirit is God’s Gift to His people and He gives Him. On the Day of Pentecost, it was God who released the Spirit while the disciples waited and anticipated the coming of the Holy Spirit. – John 14:16-7 , Acts 2:32-33
    2. Anybody who is saved (entrusted his/her life to the Lordship of Jesus) is ready to receive the Holy Spirit of God – Acts 2:38
    3. The one who desires to receive the Holy Spirit must also expect the baptism of the Spirit based on the faith that God will give him His Spirit – Luke 11:13
    4. The one who desires to receive the Holy Spirit must cast out all doubts and fears he has. Sometimes some people have fears that they may receive demonic spirits. That is not the case. Matthew 7:7-11
    5. The one who desires to receive the Holy Spirit must know what to expect. When the Holy Spirit fills a person it is not all the time that there is a shaking of the body. However, you will speak in other tongues and prophesy. Expect to speak in a new tongue. Speaking in tongues is a joint venture between you and the Holy Spirit. He will give you the utterance but you will have to decide to speak what has been given to you. In other words, you will feel like speaking. Allow yourself to flow with the Spirit. That urge to speak is of the Holy Spirit – let it flow. Acts 2:4, Acts 10: 44-46, Acts 19:6

If you haven’t received the Promise of the Father, you can do that today.
