TOPIC: YOU ARE SAFE AND SECURED
THEME SCRIPTURE: “For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” – Colossians 3:3
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What does it mean to be dead?
- Is your life really hidden with Christ, in God
Precious One, take note of the emphatic underscoring of accomplished reality with our theme verse - ‘you are dead’ and also ‘your life is hidden with Christ in God’. You see, there are many such settled facts about our life in Christ Jesus, which we need to awaken to. For instance, Paul points out, “You have died with Christ and have been buried with him in baptism (Col 2:12). This also is a statement of settled fact. “You have been raised with Christ” (Col 3:1) and also “God has made you alive together with Him” (Col 2:13). All these points to the fact that there’s no ambiguity regarding our union with Christ.
So, as believers in Christ, it is a divine reality that we’ve died to all Christ died to, and we have been raised to all that Christ was raised to. This is remarkable.
Precious One, choose to know all the things you, together with Christ, have died to. You have died to sin – you cannot enjoy or live to sin. You have died to shame - you cannot live this life and end up in shame or hopelessness. You have died and so you cannot have a stimulus for certain things.
It is interesting to note that when God was hiding our lives in Himself, He had to add Jesus. This is proof of our union with Christ. We are inseparable from the new life. This new life is not our own. This new life which we have received is Jesus. Our roots go deeply into His being.
He is the source and sustainer of this life. God can only deal with us, together with Christ.
Your life is hidden with Christ in God. What a joy to know that we are secure at all times. Let tempest rise, and kingdoms fall, we are safe in God. Let financial markets crash and pandemics come, we are hidden with Christ in God. Let mountains split and asteroids fall, we are hidden with Christ in God. Elijah prophesied that there should be no rain in Israel for 3.5 years. The famine that followed was severe yet Elijah was safe by the brooks of Cherith. God was feeding him using the ravens.
You’re secured in God, beloved. You don’t have to pray to God to protect your life. Rather, affirm this divine truth at all times - my life is hidden with Christ, far and deeply, in God. Glory to His name!

CONFESSION
Thank you Father, that my crucifixion with Christ has severed my tie to the Adamic life. Now, my true life is hidden away in God with Christ. I have the new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who birth me. Glory to God
