TOPIC: STEP INTO WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN AVOIDING
THEME SCRIPTURE: “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’” — Hebrews 13:6
PREPARATORY QUESTION
1. What have you been postponing in your life because it feels uncomfortable, difficult or uncertain?
Avoidance feels safe— but it quietly strengthens fear.
Every time you delay a necessary conversation, shrink from an opportunity, or retreat from a challenge, fear is reinforced. Not because the situation grows, but because your confidence shrinks.
This theme scripture shifts the focus from the threat to the Helper. It does not deny difficulty—it redefines your position within it. You are not exposed; you are supported.
Confidence is not built by waiting until fear disappears. It is by acting while trusting God is present.
The question, “What can man do to me?” is not dismissive—it is clarifying. It forces you to measure your fear against God’s authority. People may reject you. Circumstances may resist you. Outcomes may differ from your expectations. But none of these override God’s ability to sustain you.
Avoidance keeps your life small. Faith stretches it.
There is something specific you’ve been hesitating to face—something you’ve justified putting off. But delay does not resolve fear; it deepens it.
Today is not about reckless action. It’s about intentional obedience.
Send that message. Make that call. Start that work. Quit that job. Launch that your idea. Confess that secret. Have that conversation.
God’s help is not theoretical— it is experienced in motion.
Key Takeaway
Confidence grows when you stop avoiding and start acting with God as your helper.
Beloved, as you go through the day, ruminate on this simple truth: "You don’t need full certainty to move forward. You need confidence in who stands with you."
Remain blessed.

Lord, You see the areas where I’ve been holding back. I admit that I’ve allowed discomfort and uncertainty to guide my decisions. Today, I choose to trust You as my helper.
