TOPIC: DO NOT BE AFRAID

THEME SCRIPTURE: “When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” – Luke 21:9 (NIV)

PREPARATORY QUESTION

  1. Why is it so important that believers remain unafraid even when chaos erupts around them?

Jesus spoke of conflict, instability, and global unrest when He began to give His followers a peep into how the last days would be like. His instruction was clear: do not be frightened.

He did not deny that turmoil would come. He denied that it should control you.

Fear narrows vision. It magnifies headlines and minimizes God. But Christ reminds us that chaos does not equal loss of control. What feels unpredictable to us is not surprising to Him.

Unrest is not evidence that God has stepped away. It is proof that history is still moving under His authority.

You cannot calm the world. But you can guard your heart and mind

Beloved. refuse panic.

Reject speculation.

Resist fear-driven reactions.

Stability in life begins with trust. When Christ rules your heart, external instability does not have to produce internal collapse.

Key Takeaway

Global unrest does not cancel God’s sovereignty—so do not surrender to fear. God has not given us the spirit of fear.

Beloved, let others be shaken by the news today. You remain steady because you know whose you are.

Remain blessed.
