TOPIC: ALMOST SAVED IS STILL BEING LOST
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Then Agrippa said to Paul, ‘You almost persuade me to become a Christian.’” — Acts 26:28 (NKJV)
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What does it mean to be almost saved?
King Agrippa heard the gospel directly from Paul—a man anointed by God, speaking the truth with clarity and power. But Agrippa’s response? “Almost.” He was close to the Kingdom, but not in it. And “almost” is not enough.
This is the silent tragedy in churches today—people who are close to salvation, but not surrendered. They believe in God, even admire Jesus, but stop short of repentance and faith. They sing the songs, attend the gatherings, and might even weep during sermons— but never truly hand over their lives to Christ.
John Wesley once preached, “The devil is content that people should excel in morality, provided he can but hold them fast in unbelief.”
Satan doesn’t mind you being almost a Christian. He just wants you to remain unsaved. And Jesus said many will say to Him, “Lord, Lord,” and yet hear the awful reply, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23). Why? Because their faith was partial. Their obedience was convenient. Their repentance was shallow.
Hell is not just for the openly wicked. It’s also for the “almost persuaded,” the lukewarm, and the undecided.
Charles Finney warned, “Revival is nothing less than a new beginning and total obedience to God.” If you’ve hovered near salvation, it's time to cross the line. Close isn’t safe. Close isn’t redeemed. Be redeemed and you will dwell in safety.
God bless you more.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD:
1. Have I truly surrendered, or am I just “close” to the real thing?
2. Is there any area of my life I’ve kept from Christ?
3. What is holding me back from a full “yes” to Jesus?
PRAYER
Lord, I don’t want to be almost Yours—I want to be fully Yours. Expose every part of my heart I’ve held back from You. Break every chain of fear, pride, or compromise. Today, I say yes—not halfway, but completely. Seal me by Your Spirit, and know me as Your own, in Jesus’ precious name. Amen!
