TOPIC: TO GOD BE THE GLORY
THEME SCRIPTURE: "To the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen." — Romans 16:27 (ESV)
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
1. How is the Christian supposed to live and reflect the praise of God?
Paul’s final doxology in Romans is no mere formal closing. It is a powerful declaration: the gospel reveals God’s wisdom, brings salvation to the nations, and should stir in us a life of worship. Everything Paul taught—the grace of God, the unity of believers, the power of the Spirit—culminates in this: glory to God alone.
As John Calvin noted, “The glory of God is the end to which all things must be referred.” That includes your life.
We weren’t created to draw attention to ourselves but to reflect His greatness. To live for God’s glory means our thoughts, work, relationships, and ambitions point back to Him as the source and goal.
But this glory is not distant or cold—it comes to us “through Jesus Christ.” In Him, we see God’s glory embodied (John 1:14). In Him, we are empowered to live lives that shine light in darkness (Matt 5:16). And through Him, we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another (2 Cor 3:18).
God’s wisdom isn’t always obvious to the world.
His ways confound the proud and exalt the humble. But when we trust His design, obey His Word, and rely on His Spirit, our lives become a stage for His glory.
So today, resist the temptation to live for applause, success, or control. Live for something eternal. Let your life magnify the wisdom, grace, and majesty of God.
Remain blessed.

QUESTION TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD
1. Am I seeking recognition for myself, or am I living to reflect God’s glory?
2. How can I practically give God glory today in my decisions and interactions?
PRAYER
Lord, You alone are wise, and You deserve all glory. Keep me from living for myself. Let my life be a mirror that reflects Your goodness, beauty, and truth. Help me honor You in word and deed. May others see You clearly through me. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.
