TOPIC: FINDING PEACE IN WHO YOU ARE
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- Who are you?
- What is your answer?
We live in a world that screams, “Prove your worth!” We chase accolades, relationships, and filters to feel significant, yet peace remains elusive. Why? Because true security isn’t found in what we do or possess—it’s rooted in who we are. Jesus said, “Look at the birds… consider the lilies” (Luke 12:27-28). If God lavishes such care on fleeting creation, how much more does He cherish you, His redeemed, chosen child?
Beloved, often we fall into the trap of false identity. Author A.W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
When we forget our identity in Christ, we become like the Prodigal Son (Luke 15), trading our inheritance for scraps.
Singer turned pastor Lecrae shares, “I chased fame to feel valued, but it left me empty. Only in Christ did I find my true name: beloved.”
Precious one, there is a truth that sets us free. You are not an accident. You are “God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10). C.S. Lewis captured this beautifully: “Your place in heaven will seem made for you and you alone, because you were made for it.” When Jesus says, “Do not fear,” He’s not dismissing your struggles—He’s declaring your divine worth.
Resting in your identity in Christ is the only path to true happiness, and this is how to make it happen:
First, affirm Truth daily. Start mornings with, “I am chosen, loved, and enough in Christ” (1 Peter 2:9).
Additionally, compare less, worship more. Replace social media scrolling with gratitude and thanksgiving. Worship Him more.
Lastly, serve from overflow. You can’t pour out peace you haven’t received. Sit with God before striving for others.
Birds don’t fret about tomorrow. Flowers don’t compete to bloom. They simply rest in their Creator’s care—and so can you. “Seek first His kingdom” (Luke 12:31). The God who clothes lilies will crown your life with purpose. You are not overlooked. You are known.
Remain blessed.

1. How are you going to live differently from today going forward?
PRAYER
Father, when I forget who I am, remind me Whose I am. Silence the world’s lies with Your whisper: “You are Mine.” Help me walk in the confidence of Your unshakable love, in Jesus' precious name. Hallelujah!
