THEME: SEALED IN THE STORM
THEME SCRIPTURE: "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads." Revelation 7:3 NKJV
PREPARATORY QUESTION
1. Why does God seal His people before unleashing the judgment of the 7th seal?
God’s truth stands like a granite monument engraved with twin truths: "The Lord knows His own" and "Let every true believer renounce evil." This is no vague approximation—the Greek "ginōskō" implies intimate, covenantal knowledge. As the potter recognizes his clay (Jer 18:6), so Christ identifies His sheep by name (John 10:3).
Before the seventh seal’s chaos, heaven pauses to brand the foreheads of God’s servants among Israel (Rev 7:3). This isn’t escapism—it’s the mark of a Father who walks His children through fire, not around it (Isa 43:2).
During Egypt’s plagues crested in the death of firstborns, Israel’s safety wasn’t in their moral resume but in the lamb’s blood on their doorframes (Exo 12:13). Likewise, our seal isn’t our performance but the Spirit’s fingerprint (Eph 1:13).
Early church father Tertullian wrote, "The blood of martyrs is seed"—not because death is glorious, but because sealed saints cannot be erased, even by violence.
Beloved, take note of these three anchors if you're God's saints:
God provides certainty in the chaos. The Spirit "testifies with our spirit" (Rom 8:16)—not through emotional highs, but through the steady pulse of transformed affections. Also, find purpose in God's pause. The lull before the seventh seal (Rev 7:1-3) mirrors Christ’s command to "watch and pray" (Matt 26:41).
God’s delays are strategic, not passive.
Lastly, hope in holiness. To "turn from evil" (2 Tim 2:19) isn’t legalism—it’s the reflex of those who’ve been branded by grace.
Precious one, the coming wrath isn’t arbitrary—it’s the inevitable collision between human rebellion and divine holiness. Sodom’s citizens ignored Lot’s warning until brimstone fell (Gen 19:14). Today’s distractions—whether wealth, pleasure, or false religion—are equally flammable.
Puritan Richard Baxter warned, "It is a fearful thing to die unprepared, but more fearful to die unaware."
As a child of God, you are known by the Father. Hence, live unafraid: The seal of God isn’t a talisman against suffering, but a guarantee of ultimate deliverance (Rev 3:10). Additionally, labor urgently: Noah built while the world mocked (Heb 11:7). Our task is clear—"Rescue those being led to slaughter" (Prov 24:11). Lastly, long for the eternal: The seals will break, but "our light and momentary troubles are achieving an eternal glory" (2 Cor 4:17).
God bless you more.

1. Are you born of God; do you belong to God?
PRAYER
Father, brand my heart with Your ownership. When chaos comes, let my life whisper, "I know my Redeemer lives"—and my lips shout it, in Jesus' precious name. Hallelujah!
